New Delhi, 09 October (NNS): in the domestic spot markets, the prices of cumin showed uptrend due to the increment in the contract trade, here, the prices of average quality cumin assented by Rs 800 to Rs 26500/27000 per quintal. The situation seems uncertain on seeing the temperature and upcoming sowing during Rabi season in both Gujarat and Rajasthan, due to this, the prices showed uptrend in both the speculative and contract market. The arrivals of cumin reported to be limited in all the famous markets along with Unjha, whereas, both the farmers and the traders have stored the stock at the higher level despite the improvement in the prices. The domestic demand of cumin seems high from the spices manufacturers, local processes, and stockists.
