New Delhi, 09 October (NNS): today, the prices of turmeric showed soft trend after the increment in the prices of turmeric. During the previous day, the prices of turmeric erode gatha asitis is being traded at Rs 18600/18700 per quintal because of the constant selling, but during the previous day, its prices went up by Rs 200 to Rs 20000/20200 per quintal. The arrivals of new crops reported to his sluggish and also a lack of superior quality stored stock. The arrivals have been decreasing in the famous markets like Sangli and Nizamabad. Apart from this, the prices showed constant fluctuation because of the constant speculation in the markets. The situation seems positive in both the contract and the spot market because the traders and the stockist are holding huge amount of stock. On the other hand, the export of turmeric showed up trend in all the countries like China, Turkey, Sri Lanka, and Nigeria, due to this, the prices gets support in the international markets and the prices may increase after sometime during the near future.
